Let's know about some computer ports!!!!

Port on the computer allow it to communicate with different device. There are various input output port such as Serial, Parallel, PS/2, USB. Serial, Parallel and PS/2 ports are called legacy port because they are out dated. In today's world we are using USB device, with the help of USB we can connect 127 devices.
When we talk about port and interface, we need to understand two most important thing which is male connector and female connector and the other one is shape and size.
The connector which has pins are consider to be male connector and the connector which has holes are consider to be female connector. Every connector has a different size and shape.

1.Serial Connector:

The serial mouse connector connects to a computer using a serial port. Only one bit of data can be transmit at a time that is why it is consider to be slower than other type of the mouse connector. The serial connector has 9 pins.

2.PS/2 Connector:

The PS/2 mouse connector connects a mouse using a PS/2 port located at the read of a computer. It is designed by IBM. With the help of PS/2 connector, we can connect mouse as well as keyboard.

3.USB Connector:

A mouse include a USB connector that connects to a USP port. With the help of USB port we can connect 127 devices including mouse. There are three types of USB, USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0
USB 1.1: It is called basic speed. The read and write speed of USB 1.1 is 12 MBPS.
USB 2.0: It is called high speed. The read and write speed of USB 2.0 is 480 MBPS.
USB 3.0: It is called super speed. The read and write speed of USB 3. is 5 GB/s.
