In today's blog we are going to know some shortcut keys in Windows. The following shortcuts are also applicable to some operating systems, but mainly apply for Windows operating systems. The main reason for using shortcut key is to reduce our time.Shortcut keys provides an easier way to executing commands in computer software.
NOTE : ALT - Alternate key, CTRL - Control key.
  • ALT + F : It is used to file menu option in currently working program.
  • ALT + E : This shortcut is used to open edit option in current program.
  • ALT + TAB : If you want to switch the tab between your working programs, you can use this shortcut.
  • ALT+F4:It is used to turn off windows.
  • CTRL + D : It is mainly used in most of the Internet browsers to book mark your current page.
  • CTRL + N :It is used to create new or blank document in most of the program, also it is used to create anew tab in most of the internet browsers.
  • CTRL + O :Used to open a file in current program.
  • CTRL A : It is used to select all text whether in Program or Internet browser's web page.
  • CTRL + B : It is used for Bold the selected text.
  • CTRL + I : Similar to Bold,It is used fir change the selected text in Italics font.
  • CTRL + U : Used to Underline the selected text.
  • CTRL + F : Used to find your searching word in given document or web page.
  • CTRL + S : It is mainly used for Saving the current document.
  • CTRL + C : Used to Copy the selected item.
  • CTRL + X : Cut the selected item.
  • CTRL + V : Used for Paste the copied item.
  • CTRL + Y : Used to performing the Redo the last action.
  • CTRL + Z : Similarly, it is for Undo the last action.
  • CTRL + K : Inserting the hyperlink for your selected text.
  • CTRL + P : Used for Print the current page of the document.
  • CTRL + Home :Goes to Beginning of the document.
  • CTRL + End : Goes to End of the documents.
