What is an IMEI number?

 IMEI's full form is International Mobile Equipment Identity (International Mobile Equipment Identity Number). This is an identity number for identification of a mobile phone that is different from every device.
This number is given in GSM, CDMA and IDEN and some satellite fonts, and this number is of 15 digits, although sometimes this number can also be 16-17 digits. It has the address of mobile phone model, its location and serial number of mobile. About 25 million people in India use IMEI number mobile phones.

How does IMEI number work?

The mobile phone's IMEI number reveals the current location of the phone and can find out where the phone is currently being used.
If a user's phone is stolen or lost, it can be traced through the IMEI number. If a user has to know his IMEI number then dialing * # 06 # from his phone can be detected.
